18 Months and counting
Well it has been a great Spring and I am sure that Summer will be even better. Daddy was here for Easter and we had a great time. We went to the Zoo and the Aquarium, I loved all of the animals. I even got to ride the carousel at the Zoo. As for milestones, I drink from a regular cup at all of meals, and I use my silverware (most of the time). I have even started using the potty, pretty exciting stuff! I will move up to the next level at day care soon and will be with the 18 - 24 month kids. My how time is flying by, I have attached a few of my favorite videos from this past spring I hope that you will enjoy them.

16 Months Old
Hey everyone! I have been keeping very busy lately and learning new things. I can old a spoon and feed myself with it. I am still having troubles putting food on it, but once it is on the spoon, look out! I have also started to say a few words, they are a bit broken up, but dog, shoes, and blocks seem to be getting pretty close. I have a new favorite toy, as you can see in the video below. My Daddy should be coming home soon for Easter, and when he is home we are going to have a lot of fun, dying eggs, playing outside and reading, I can't wait. My next doctor's appointment is 3/30, more shots, bummer. I hope you all have a happy Easter and take care.

2008 Holiday Season
I was very busy this holiday. My Grandma and Granddad visited me before Christmas and we had a great time. Then Daddy came home for 2 weeks! We did just about everything. I went to go see ICE! looked at all of the beautiful Christmas lights around town, and finally Daddy turned around the car seat so I can face forward. Yes, I finally weigh 20 lbs, and it only took 13 months. We celebrated Christmas by opening packages, having a traditional "Mateer" breakfast (including Scandinavian Fruit Soup, YUM) and playing with the gifts from Santa, a rocking horse (actually a cow). Daddy painted the bonus room and made me a playroom, THANK YOU! I can color, play with my puzzles and read my books there, and the best part is that I can leave it a mess. I rang in the new year by sleeping 12 hours, watching football, and going to the park with Daddy. I love the slides and swings as you can see by the videos below. I have even warmed up to Patch, but she still runs away from me.

1 Year Old!!!
Where did the time go! It went by so fast and I have had a great year. I celebrated my Birthday a little later this year, so that my Daddy could be home. So yesterday we had cake and ice cream, and I got to open all of the wonderful gifts from my family and friends. I had a great time and enjoyed every minute of it. I was also able to show Daddy my new milestone, yep that's right I am walking. I have attached a clip of me walking and of my birthday celebration. While my Daddy is home we are going to get my first hair cut tomorrow and then he is going to take me to see ICE! It will be a great visit. Thanks again for the wonderful gifts. I will start writing those thank you's.

11 Month's Old
So much has happened! Uncle Andy came and visited me again, I picked out my first pumpkin, drove out to Kansas City to see my Daddy in a race, went to a birthday party and celebrated my first Halloween. I was an adorable panda bear (mom even made the costume, WOW!). In that time frame I got another tooth. Daddy also came home for four days and we played non-stop, I think I wore him out. He also gave me a great early birthday gift, a push cart that looks like a cow. I love to push it as well as ride in it. It is so much fun!! I have included video's of me carving my pumpkin and pushing my cow cart. ENJOY!

10 Month's Old
Wow, I will be a year old before you know it. Well, this last month has been full of challenges. I have gotten my four upper front teeth (all in the same week), can pull myself up the standing position, and got to see my Aunt Meg, who's visit was great fun!
I recently became the owner of an Elmo tooth brush. So far I am resistant to having Mom try and brush my teeth (don't worry, Mom only uses water), but I love to chew on the other end.
Mom has been giving me different foods to eat lately. I have had lentil soup, broccoli au-gratin, red beans and rice, noodles with peas, asparagus, and artichoke hearts. So far I like them all.
I have mastered pulling myself up as you can see in the video that was taken. I love to bang on the kitchen window and play in Patch's water dish (so much that Mom has had to move the bowl into the laundry room). Pretty soon I will be taking my first step, I can feel it.

9 Months Old
Well, I am fully mobile. I can crawl anywhere and everywhere. Mom has taken some footage for everyone to see. But, that's not all, I am starting to pull myself up to the standing position. I can get as high as my knees with one foot pushing up. Look out!
I love to eat table food. Some of my favorites are raisins, peas, carrots, corn and bagels. Yummy. I even enjoy some yogurt for my snack.
